History
-
In 1976 Dr. Fuller Royal and Floyd Weston hired Joe Galloway and his friend to develop a bioenergetic testing system.

-
Three goals: easy to use, affordable, and reproducible results.

-
After 2 years, the Accupath 1000 was complete and it fulfilled zero of the three requirements, but in the process, they learned that energetic results are not reproducible because the body is dynamic.
Dr. Reinhold Voll:
-
Family practitioner in Germany, also familiar with acupuncture, radios, and electronics.

-
Saw the electrical pathways in the body and decided to measure them using acupuncture points on his patients with an ohmmeter.

-
Discovered that healthy tissues had a standard value of resistance; weakened or degenerative tissue is more resistive, and stressed or inflamed tissue is less resistive.

-
He realized early on, the human body can and does simulate the components and properties of electronic circuits.

-
His original method involved using each hand as a resistor. One hand holds an electrode and the other is probed at specific acupuncture points, with the organ of interest between them.
